Second Concert of Women's Work 2008

Greenwich House Arts announces the second concert of Women's Work 2008.

The concert features ModernWorks (Madeleine Shapiro, director/cello). The program includes works that take their inspiration from African and Native American traditions and also a work using electronics based on American songbirds. Composers include Ada Gentile, Jacqueline Fontyn, Vivian Fung, Dawn Buckholz Avery and Judith Shatin. Performers will be Ms. Shapiro, cello; Dawn Avery, cello/vocals; Tiye Giraud, African drums/vocals; and Jenny Lin, piano. Additional funds for this concert were made possible through the Mary Flagler Cary Charitable Trust.

Admission to this concert is $15 general, $10 for students and seniors, with tickets available at the door starting at 7:30 PM.
